With March comes the spring thaw (thank goodness!) and things start gearing up for the Youth. Plans are in the works for the 30 Hour Famine, Youth Dinner and Auction, Mission Weekend, Youth Week, and Mission Trip. We have had a wonderful winter and are looking forward to a fantastic spring and summer.
Thanks to all who donated computer equipment for the Computer Center. Richard Francis networked them and ran the Internet to them; many thanks to Richard for his fine work and dedication. These computers have parental controls and are password protected to give our children a safe and secure Internet experience. The Computer Center does not have regular hours; please contact me or Pam Beckman if you need to use the Center.
This year’s Youth Dinner and Auction will, once again, feature the wonderful, scrumptious culinary creations of Melissa DeLuca and family. She has told me that it’s “All Greek to Me”; I can’t wait to see and taste what she has planned for us. At this year’s dinner, in addition to the fine merchandise available to bid on, we will be entertained by the Sixth Grade Handbell Choir from Highland Hills Middle School. They will be invited to stay as our guests for the dinner. Amanda Beckman is a member of this choir and is very active in Youth. I have heard them a couple of times and they are awesome!
Watch this space and the bulletin as more details of upcoming events are announced. And that’s this month’s BUZZ!
Peace, Pastor Kevin
